Kartlink covers international kart racing and is the only British website to regularly be in the paddock at most of the World and European meetings.
There’s been another date change for the Opens - I’ve given up checking what clashes with what but please check the calendar here.
This is what the FIK have to say about it:
For a better harmonisation of the international karting calendar, the dates of the “2008 International Open Masters” are subject to a further change.
At the request of the CIK-FIA, to which was advanced the demand of recognition for the 2008 edition of the title “FIA Authorised Series”, it’s been made necessary to move the Open Masters’ race which had previously been placed only a week after the CIK-FIA World Cup at Suzuka on the 25th May.
This in turn has caused a complete and necessary review of the 2008 International Open Masters calendar, which now, in its definitive version is presented above.
As well as the changing of several dates, there’s been a swapping round of the two events comprising the third and fourth heats of the Championship, which will now be respectively at Ugento (27th April 2008) and Sant’Egidio alla Vibrata (8th June 2008). In this way the race of the International Open Masters at Sant’Egidio alla Vibrata will shift to around a month after the Selection heat of the European KF2 and KF3 Championship of 13th July, all to the advantage of the drivers who will be able to make the most of the occasion to try out the track during the European event race.
The signup period will shortly commence. The cost of signing up to the Championship has been fixed at Euro 2,500 for all 5 heats, the closing period will end on 15th March 2008.
