Yannick De Brabander is the winner of the final prize of the WSK International Series 2007, awarded in partnership with Red Bull.
The Belgian, who won the FIA Authorised Series in KF2 on a Maranello/Parilla, is the driver selected for a test in a Formula BMW. During the recently finished season WSK Promotion, together with Red Bull, have examined the performances of the drivers competing in the five rounds of the WSK International Series in order to choose the winner of this important opportunity.
The aim of this selection was to highlight the talented young drivers who will be able to have a future in motorsport. Therefore the drivers aged between 15 and 17 have been observed, not only those who have obtained the best results but also those gifted with boldness and fighting spirit. During the 2007 series Yannick De Brabander, the 16-year-old driver from Antwerp (Belgium), has proved to hold each of these characteristics - his victory in the WSK International Series has been the result of very exciting races, driving for the official Maranello Kart team.
The test session is scheduled on Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd November at the Portuguese circuit of Estoril.
