Florida Winter Tour details finalized

Formula Kart Productions, Inc today released the official dates, venues, classes and awards for the 10th Annual FWT.

The FWT is comprised annually of two separate and significant event-weekends during each of the months of January, February and March.

Significant features of the 2008 FWT Rotax Max Challenge include the ability for international drivers to compete, fully-funded direct qualifying spots to the Rotax “Worlds”( RMCGF), paid entry packages and qualifying spots to the U.S. and Mexican Rotax Grand Nationals, and the continuation of the Skip Barber Racing School awards.

The FWT “CIK” class weekends are no less significant. 2008 will see the introduction of the ability for internationally licensed drivers to participate, the introduction of the new KF2 and KF3 categories, the continuation of the Formula Kart Racing $20,000 cash purse, and the continuation of the Skip Barber Racing School awards.

Overall, the total cash and retail value of the 2008 FWT awards will exceed $100,000.

On-line registration and the new FWT “Concierge Services” will be made available in the next few days. On-line registration saves the FWT participants a minimum of $40 per event-weekend, and allows priority status for many FWT functions, so take advantage of on-line registration as soon as it is available.

The Formula Kart Racing Florida Winter Tour is one of the longest running and largest sprint kart racing series in the world. For the 9th straight year the 2007 FWT set records for entries and awards, averaging 551 entries, including drivers from 15 different countries, 24 U.S. States and 5 Canadian Provinces.
