Formula Kart Productions, Inc, today announced entry caps on all classes of the 2008 Formula Kart Racing Florida Winter Tour presented by Tony Kart Florida. Rotax Senior and Junior will be capped at 68. All other FWT classes will be capped at 34.
FKP’s Bill Wright:
“It is my opinion the FWT’s double-race-weekend format is one of the reasons the FWT continues to grow each year. This format offers the most opportunity for our participants. Unfortunately it also restricts the number of sessions we have available for each race-day. Currently there is the potential that we could send people home after qualifying and the last-chance race. Because I don’t want to send anyone home without a minimum of 3 on-course sessions per-day I am capping entries for 2008.”
FKP anticipates opening on-line registration Tuesday, November 20th. Potential participants who register after the class cap has been reached will be notified they have been placed on the FWT “stand by” list.
