Kartlink covers international kart racing and is the only British website to regularly be in the paddock at most of the World and European meetings.
Jack Harvey (GB, Birel/Parilla) has taken as unexpected pole position in Spain with some solid heat results, while Loic Reguillon (FR, Sodi/Parilla) was outright fastest all day but got two penalties for too-fast starts so will start seventh. Jose Cautela (PT, CRG/Maxter) was also one to watch with two wins but a seize in the first heat puts him starting 10th.
Robert Butler (IE, Gillard/Parilla) has been a revelation on the Gillard under PDB Racing’s supervision and will start second. He is also the only driver I’ve heard say he wants to win outright, everyone else is indicating they just want to finish in the top 24 and go through to the next round at Braga. His team-mate Tom Grice is another firey driver and is just behind on the grid in third.
Jordan Chamberlain (GB, Tonykart/Vortex) had engine problems in qualifying and his engine sucked in a load of dust in one of the heats, but other than that he has been making up 10 or 12 places in each heat so starts 15th.
Elliott Burton (GB, Tonykart/Vortex) is relatively inexperienced in Europe but has been up there with the best after a brilliant qualifying performance put him sixth.
Reguillon and Cautela were the only drivers to win two heats, and Harvey, Butler, Grice, Otero, Joyner and Lennox-Lamb have all won one each.
