Kartlink covers international kart racing and is the only British website to regularly be in the paddock at most of the World and European meetings.
EuroKart-Sim Technologies and Development team have been working hard in the off season to create the new KF1 Karting mod based on the rFactor gaming platform. It is the most realistic karting experience that has been put to test on the market today.
The new championship season will begin May 15 following the inaugural Al Nevoso Memorial Race, May 7-8. The race will require no entry fee, with a cash purse currently at $225 going to the top three spots thanks to the EuroKart-Sim staff. The event will cap the entry list at 60 entries that will compete May 7 in a 20 minute open qualifying session, allowing for the fastest 30 to transfer into Thursday Night’s main event. The track location will be released three days prior to the event as to not give any one individual a more of advantage than the next. The setups will also be fixed, meaning everyone will run the same setup configuration as an equalizer which is the base of the new season.
Thursday night will entail a drivers meeting for the fast 30 competitors at 8:45 PM EST which is mandatory unless arrangements have been made before hand. 9:00 PM EST sharp a 30 Minute Practice session will begin that will head into a 15 minute open qualifying session. A 5 minute break will be given prior to the 15 Lap pre-final, which will set the main grid for the 25 Lap Final.
The sim karting series utilizes a custom rolling start, which they have been perfecting the past 2 years. Every competitor will sit on the grid, wait for the lights to turn green and start the warm up lap. Upon completing the lap everyone will be responsible to get into their starting position, just like real karting, and will get the green flag that lap.
It is required for each competitor to use the software TeamSpeak to hear the drivers meeting and announcements before each session. All the required downloads will be available on the newly revamped EuroKart-Sim website at www.eurokart-sim.com
To sign up for this event please email your FULL NAME, CHASSIS, TEAM NAME, EMAIL, and REQUESTED PASSWORD for your TeamSpeak account to Matt Nevoso at mnevoso@eurokart-sim.com or any questions you may have regarding the event, championship, or the mod.
The entry list will be posted in the EuroKart-Sim forums, and will close Sunday, May 4th at 11:59 PM EST. Each driver will be assigned a number based on time of entry and that will designate which server you will run in on May 7th whether you are even or odd.
With this inaugural event, EuroKart-Sim is hoping to increase the entry list per championship event, and offer a fun and enjoyable online racing experience. A full schedule will also be posted for the six race series early next week.
