Karting shares for sale as Teamworks Karting floats
Teamworks Karting is to float on the Birmingham Stock Exchange in order to raise £1m, in exchange for just over a quarter of the company. Teamworks is one of the biggest players in leisure karting but over the last couple of years has made a loss or a relatively small profit as they have been investing a lot in growing the business.
The Birmingham exchange, known as Investbx, stopped trading in the 1970s but is now aiming to have 10-15 companies a year floating. It’s a publicly funded initiative to help growing companies who need to raise £1-2m and could be copied in other cities if it’s a success.
