Lloyd returns to his roots at PFi

2007 BRDC Stars of Tomorrow Scholarship winner, Daniel Lloyd will return to the scene of many of his karting triumphs this Sunday (20 April), as a guest of the series.

Daniel - who currently lies 5th in the Ginetta Junior championship’s points table in his rookie year – will be present at PFi, Lincolnshire to talk about his experience of making the switch from karts to cars.

He says: “When Carolynn (Hoy) invited me to display my car and represent the Ginetta Junior championship, I couldn’t say ‘no’. I’m having a brilliant time and so far things are going very, very well for me and the team – so I’m delighted to be able to promote the series and talk about it.” He added: “I do miss karting and I’ve got a lot of friends who’ll be at PFi, so it’ll be great to watch the racing and see people.”

16-year old Daniel has impressed many paddock insiders with how quickly he has adapted to sportscar racing and at Rockingham last weekend, the Tockwith Motorsport driver was challenging for his first podium.

Daniel will welcome any questions about the championship, the Ginetta Junior itself and the difference between racing karts and cars.

Also on display at the BRDC Stars of Tomorrow race control centre will be fellow Stars old-boy Nigel Moore’s mighty Ginetta G50.
