Maranello wins the World Cup

After winning two European Championships, the Maranello Team has conquered its first world title. On the Suzuka circuit, in Japan, Davide Fore triumphed in the KF1 World Cup and showed all his style. From free practice to the final, he clearly dominated this high-level competition. “Giaguaro Nero” completed the excellent weekend of the Italian team and reached a podium in the Asia-Pacific KF2 Championship.

The high-level performances showed by Maranello Kart and Davide Fore since the very beginning of the season have obviously been rewarded by a victory long awaited by the team and the pilot. Two years after the Italian football team, the Maranello Team conquers the World Cup in karting top category! “The race was exhausting, because there were several candidates to victory” Davide Fore commented. “After repeatedly setting the best time during free practice, and after conquering the pole position, I was really confident about the competitiveness of my equipment, but so many things can happen during a race…”

Indeed, although he started from the front row in the pre-final, he lost time owing to the manoeuvre of another pilot. Finally, the Italian pilot rapidly conquered the first position again. “My equipment was really fantastic. Its effectiveness and reliability saved me from an attack launched by my opponents and enabled me to cross the finishing line first. It is my first victory at Suzuka and I am really happy that it came with the Maranello Team, which has made a great job”. As to the Maxter engine prepared by KVS, it also contributed to a success that will certainly lead to more results…

Maranello conquered another podium in the KF2 category. At Suzuka, “Giaguaro Nero” perfectly exploited the qualities of his chassis in the final, where he climbed to thrid position at the end of an exciting duel during the last few laps. After a little problem in one heat, he managed to reconquer the leading position thanks to a very fast pace, which he kept throughout the race, both in the pre-final and in the final. Under the banner of Maranello importer to Japan, Trenta Quattro, the two Japanese pilots Kiyosji Nakano and Atsushi Sugihara qualified for the final phase of this Asia-Pacific KF2 Championship. Nakano also made an exploit by climbing from 29 th to 13 th position in the final, at the wheel of his Maranello-Parilla.

Team owner Armando Filini: “It is a great victory for the racing stable! Winning a World Cup is something truly special. All team members, from mechanics to engineers, have made a formidable job and I would like to congratulate them all, as well as Davide of course, who was magnificent at Suzuka. I’d also like to thank Maxter for its partnership and the Trenta Quattro Team, importer of our chassis to Japan, for its support. The Suzuka circuit is considered difficult for karts, but our equipment proved to be very fast throughout the race. Davide won the final, but let’s not forget that he also managed to conquer the pole position!”
