(Calendar)
Kartlink covers international kart racing and is the only British website to regularly be in the paddock at most of the World and European meetings.
Following the latest World Motorsports Council meeting it has been decided that from 2009 the CIK Championships, Cups and Trophies will be run with only two classes per event, so as to give competitors more track time.
Another development is that KF1 and KZ1 will no longer be run at the same time as the same drivers often want to compete in both championships.
The KF2 and KF3 Qualifiers will be held in May from next year rather than in July to give people more time to prepare and so there’s a better rhythm to the season, and there will be a KF3 World Cup.
I’m expecting to see the actual structure of the calendar soon, and I think I have some dates I can dig out tomorrow.
