Qualifying at Angerville

40 KF1 drivers lined up for qualifying after some dropped out of this round to race in KZ2, and Jack Te Braak (NL, Zanardi/Parilla) was fastest in the sessions until Armand Convers (FR, PCR/TM) took over from him after the one-lap SuperPole session for the top ten. Jeremy Iglesias (ES, Intrepid/TM), Catt (GB, Tonykart/Vortex) and Jean-Philippe Guignet (FR, CRG/Maxter) took turns at the top but Convers’ lap of 48.758 was nearly 0.2s faster than anyone else. Jason Parrott’s (GB, Birel/Parilla) clutch started to go halfway through his flying lap so he was 1.2s off the pace and was left stranded when it went completely on the slowing down lap.

Experienced Birel driver Thomas Mich was on pole in KZ2, 0.06 ahead of Norman Nato (FR, Intrepid/TM), and the fastest direct-drive refugee was Marco Ardigo (IT, Tonykart/Vortex) in 5th with 48.527.

In KF3 Brandon Maisano (FR, Intrepid/TM) was 0.147 ahead of Tonykart Junior Team’s Nicolai Moller Madsen (SE, Tonykart/Vortex) but Nyck De Vries (NL, Zanardi/XTR) didn’t look as quick as we saw him at La Conca down in 27th.
