X30 breathing new life into British karting?
The X30 classes are coming on better than any new class I’ve seen since Rotax Max. On the face of it five or six entries is nothing special, but it has been at a wide range of tracks and lots of different people. I don’t think not having Super One is a disadvantage as it ensures that there is a healthy base of drivers rather than just 25 or so going to the same meetings all the time who could just disappear to another class on a whim. Rotax didn’t get S1 status for several years after the class introduction, people were begging for it. That in my mind is when a class should get national status.
