Close run Qualifying at the Winter Cup
The Winter Cup Qualifying got under way this morning (Friday) for the almost 280 drivers entered. Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer (Tony Kart), Dimitrii Bogdanov (RFM) and Fabian Federer (Modena) took pole in OK, OK-Junior and KZ2.

The differences were minimal between the three OK-Junior groups at Lonato. Dmitrii Bogdanov (FA Kart / Vortex) set the fastest time in the second session with 48.457s ahead of Danny Carenini (Tony Kart / LKE), Fin Kenneally (FA Kart / Vortex), Noah Watt (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Petr Ptacek (Formula K / Parilla).
There were no major differences in performance between the three qualifying sessions for KZ2 at the Winter Cup, at sunny Lonato. Fabian Federer (CRG / Modena) set the fastest time in the second group with 46.690s. He beat Bas Lammers (Sodi / TM) by 0.065s, while Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex) took 3rd place by 0.076s. Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) confirmed the good form of the French chassis with his 4th position ahead of Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) in 5th by a tenth and Alexander Schmitz (Tony Kart / Vortex).
