Micro and Mini Max to race at Rotax Max Grand Finals
Rotax have confirmed that following the relaxation of the CIK’s rules, Mini and Micro Max will be opened up to international competitors at this year’s Grand Finals at Sarno.
The younger classes have previously raced at the Grand Finals but only for residents of the host country. Now they will be open to drivers who qualify through the usual channels.
However, it’s not that simple for British Minimax drivers as in most countries the Minimax engine is used for older Cadet-aged drivers on an intermediate-sized chassis. So it’s likely that UK Minimax drivers will continue to be offered places in Junior Max at the World Finals if they are old enough.
But is there an opportunity for JAG to offer places to for example Honda Cadet drivers?
