Rotax Max Evo upgrades for 2017
Today we’ve received a press release from Rotax regarding updates to the Evo engines for 2017, which J.A.G. have confirmed will be used in the UK next year.
The upgrades have been tested over the summer and will see their first public use at the Rotax Max Grand Finals at Sarno in October.
There’s a new ECU, battery housing with a multi-function switch, a cable harness, spark plug and cylinder.
The ECU is less sensitive on the main jet above 13000 RPM with slightly altered ignition timing and with a richer main jet should perform well above that engine speed. It should be much more forgiving on the set up of the carb.
The Junior/Mini/Micro cylinder will now be produced using CNC which will hopefully lead to a more consistent product.
