June 27, 2008 Milroy prepares for his first race at Silverstone GP

Ollie Millroy will be geared up for his first UK race when he appears in front of a sellout crowd of 150,000 people at next weekend’s British Formula One Grand Prix. The 18 year-old from Claygate, Surrey is competing in the Formula BMW Europe Championship which runs alongside seven European F1 and GP2 races.


June 25, 2008 Formula 2 name to be revived

The FIA will invite tenders for a new feeder series for Formula One. This championship, called Formula Two, would be launched in 2009 and used as an inexpensive platform to develop emerging driver talent for Formula One. June 13, 2008 Sixth for Millroy in Canada

Ollie Millroy took a superb sixth place on his North American debut when he competed in front of the Canadian Grand Prix crowds at Montreal on Sunday. The 18 year-old Formula BMW Europe driver, switched to the Atlantic Racing Team for a one-off visit to the Formula BMW Americas series and was delighted with the experience.


June 11, 2008 Go Motorsport campaign goes live

Go Motorsport, the UK's first ever centrally co-ordinated marketing campaign to encourage new people into motor sport, is launched on Wednesday 11 June by Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking.


June 9, 2008 British F3 International Series - Rounds 9 & 10

In brilliant sunshine at Snetterton Michael Devaney made British Formula 3 history by scoring the first ever win for a Mygale, the first time a Dallara hasn't won since Danny Watts in June 2004. Devaney's achievement was also the first British F3 victory for himself and his Ultimate Motorsport team. He then went on to repeat the performance in the second race of the day.


June 3, 2008 Plowman’s form promising despite problems at Pau

Tamworth’s Martin Plowman experienced his most challenging F3 Euro Series race weekend yet on the French street circuit of Pau, on 31 May & 1 June. Evidence of the rookie’s brilliance shone through in a storming drive from 25th to eighth in round five but his point-scoring chances were dashed when the Staffordshire star was taken out of the race, while a gearbox problem ruined his round six aspirations.


May 28, 2008 Mustonen and Hohenthal take F3 wins at Rockingham

Finland's Atte Mustonen and Sweden's Sebastian Hohenthal became the latest drivers to step onto the top of the British F3 podium, making it six different winners in the eight races run so far. Austria’s Dominik Kraihamer and Hans Knauss excelled in difficult weather conditions at the 4th race of the FIA GT3 championship at the Monza Autodrome, Italy when a decision to opt for slicks during the driver change gave them a well-needed advantage.
