The ABkC steering committee welcomed guests from clubs putting forward bids for the ABkC O Plates and the MSA E Plate meetings. After the club’s presentations a secret vote was taken and the results announced as follows.
The October ABkC Steering Group meeting had a wide-ranging discussion on how the Constitution and membership of the group should be changed in order to modernise the association. It should be re-organised to better represent the member clubs and give them an easier say on the deliberations and votes.
Drivers wishing to try out OK and OK-Junior in preparation for next year have an opportunity at Shenington on 20th November with big engine and tyre subsidies.
At the IAME International Finals at Le Mans, Oliver York won Juniors after a massive comeback from 130th in Qualifying and Hugo Ellis won the Senior race after Hodgson’s mechanical problems.
The MSA National Court appeal for Ben Davis and Josh Collings’ front bumper replacement exclusions at the Fulbeck round of Super One has been heard, and although their exclusions have been upheld, the Court has made a number of recommendations to improve the judicial process relating to drop-down bumpers.

The FIA held its latest World Motor Sport Council on September 28th in Paris and accepted the proposal of the CIK-FIA to reduce the minimum age of drivers competing in non-gearbox karting categories by one year.
