February 23, 2008 Simpson re-signs for Birel

Michael Simpson has re-signed for Birel Motorsport for the 2008 season. “We always intended to and we have now exercised our option to re sign Michael – it was a case of just deciding which programme he should do” commented Birel UK boss Andy Cox.


February 22, 2008 2008 lineup announced for Team France

The [FFSA] has announced their new coach and the 2008 drivers. 1999 European Champion Julien Poncelet takes over from Franck Lagorce as coach and ten drivers will be supported. They are: Thomas Mich age 20, racing in KZ1 with Birel. He rejoins the team as a gearbox specialist and factory Birel driver after a successful 2007. Anthony Abbasse age 19, racing in KF1, KZ1 and KZ2 with Sodikart. He was 4th in the World Championship in 2007 ...


February 22, 2008 Open Masters drop KF1

The Italian/International Open Masters are to run without KF1 this year after the defection of most of the teams to [WSK]. No entry list has been released yet but a new form has been published by the [FIK] that doesn't have an option to race in the premier class.
