Reigning European kart racing champion, Jack Harvey, picked up his first major title of the 2008 season as he won the Asia Pacific KF2 title with a crushing display of driving at Suzuka in Japan this weekend.
Jack Harvey rose to the occasion at Suzuka, taking his first major championship of the year by over 11 seconds and adding a new trophy to join his 2007 European Junior Championship. Another impressive drive came from Giacomo Patrono, starting from near the back and coming through to second.
The results at Macau are in and Marco can add the Asia-Pacific Championship to his credit. Second place went to the new [Tonykart] recruit [Matias Laine] who also had the fastest lap in the race.
The last race of the season is the Asia-Pacific Championship for KF1 and KF3, and it's being dominated by Gary Catt (GB, Tony/Vortex) and Gerard Barrabeig (ES, Alonso/Vortex). The finals will be early morning tomorrow in European time and here are results for KF1 and KF3.
