Ollie Millroy had a challenging Hungarian outing after twice being hit by a fellow competitor in the ninth and tenth round of the Formula BMW Europe Championship. The Claygate ‘rookie’ headed out to Budapest full of confidence after solid performances in his last three races but didn’t come away with the results he was looking for.

Ollie Millroy will be geared up for his first UK race when he appears in front of a sellout crowd of 150,000 people at next weekend’s British Formula One Grand Prix. The 18 year-old from Claygate, Surrey is competing in the Formula BMW Europe Championship which runs alongside seven European F1 and GP2 races.

March 31, 2008 Millroy selected to join MSA British Race Academy

From an original list of 65 applicants, Ollie Millroy has been selected by the judges to be one of four drivers on the 2008 MSA British Race Academy Programme. The Claygate teenager, who will contest the Formula BMW Championship Europe this year, joins Jack Clarke (Formula Palmer Audi), James Cole (British Formula Ford) and Rupert Svendsen-Cook (FBMW).
