Camponeschi and De Vries are champions along with Cesetti and Ardigo. The long WSK season has been concluded at Zuera, Spain, on the same brand new circuit that the WSK International Series had inaugurated last season. The new champions have now been crowned: Roman Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone) and Dutch Nick De Vries (Zanardi-Parilla-Dunlop) respectively achieved KF2 and KF3 title, whereas Sauro Cesetti from ...
The WSK International Series will finish this weekend at its 6th round of the 2008 season. The location is the International Circuit of Zuera, near Zaragoza, in Spain. The opening of this amazing track was last year, with a race of the last WSK Series. Next Sunday the 17 Km of Zuera’s circuit will decide the champions of KF2 and KF3, after Sauro Cesetti (Birel-TM-Bridgestone) in KF1 and Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) in KZ2 already ...
Already world champion after his 2007 triumph, Marco Ardigo retained his title this afternoon on the international La Conca circuit at Muro Leccese. The Tony Kart factory spearhead headed home the young Czech hope, Libor Toman (Birel-Parilla), just 17 years old, and team mate Gary Catt (Tony Kart-Vortex).
Timed qualifying practice, which is the first competitive track action at the CIK-FIA World Karting Championship at Muro Leccese in the south of Italy, saw the world champion Marco Ardigo secure pole position. But with 5 other drivers within the same tenth of a second, the Italian will not have an easy time.
Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart-Vortex) secured pole position for the final stage of the KZ1 World Cup but his closest rivals all failed to make the most of their chances. As a result, they are all now outsiders looking to ambush their way back in to title contention. However, several drivers not normally expected to mount a challenge are now in contention.
In spite of threatening weather throughout the day, it was a dry track on which this afternoon’s qualifying practice sessions were held at Varennes-sur-Allier in France where 3 major karting titles were being contested. These were the KZ1 World Cup (the principal class of gearbox kart racing), the KZ2 European Championship (the second division of gearbox karting) and the finale of the KF3 European ...
Marco Ardigo (IT, Tonykart/Vortex) has won the European Championship again after both his rivals, Arnaud Kozlinski (FR, CRG/Maxter) and Gary Catt (GB, Tonykart/Vortex) had problems in Race 2. In KF2 Flavio Camponeschi's (IT, Tonykart/Vortex) European KF2 Championship made it a perfect day for the Italian manufacturer.
Despite Alessandro Manetti's (IT, CRG/Maxter) monopoly on the heats and Prefinal, champion-elect Marco Ardigo (IT, Tonykart/Vortex) unseated him on the first lap of the final and successfully fended off Jonathan Thonon (BE, CRG/Maxter).
Jonathan Thonon (CRG/Maxter) largely dominated the second and final round of the KZ1 European Championship, which was held this weekend in Mariembourg, Belgium, to win the European crown. In KF1 Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart/Vortex) is back on course for the title which will be decided at the final in Portugal following his two race wins whilst Joffrey Demanse had a fine showing in KZ2.
La saison 2008 des Grands Prix Karting FFSA s’achève par un événement exceptionnel, les 31 mai et 1er juin, sur le circuit Jean Brun, à Varennes sur Allier.
