A disciplinary hearing of the National Court was convened at Motor Sports House on 29th July to consider the case of George Byrne of Croydon, Surrey (a kart National A licence holder), under General Regulation C(d)22, following incidents which took place at Rye House on 6th July 2008.

The MSA continues to be very concerned at the reliability issues surrounding the Tryton ZC001 carburettor as used on the Comer W60 engine and is working constantly with all those involved in Comer Cadet Kart racing to find a solution. May 20, 2008 Eligibility Appeal - Matt Parry, Super One Mini Max Kart Championship

The Motor Sports Council's National Court met on 6th May to consider the appeal by Simon Parry on behalf of Matt Parry, a minor, against the exclusion of the Appellant's kart from the round of the Super One Mini Max Kart Championship held at Clay Pigeon on 14-16 March 2008.

January 3, 2008 MSA accepts new helmet standard for karting

The Motor Sports Association has amended its helmet regulations for junior karting to reflect the new standard recently introduced at International level by the FIA and CIK. With immediate effect, helmets conforming to the Snell-FIA CMR2007 standard will be acceptable in national karting events, alongside the existing acceptable standards contained within MSA Regulations.
