Pedro Hiltbrand is the new World Champion in OK, his third CIK title of the year after his European Championship in OK and International Super Cup in KZ2. The outgoing World Champion Karol Basz took 2nd and Felice Tiene was 3rd.
VDK’s Victor Martins continued his run of form to take the ultimate prize in Bahrain, the World Junior Championship, ahead of David Vidales who had been ahead until the Final.
The qualifying heats of the World Junior Championship were, to say the least, fiercely contested in a veritable marathon, mostly at night. Surprises were constant, not to mention the many penalties for dropped spoilers.
With his two victories already won, Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex) didn’t need to take too many risks in his last heat to take the lead in the intermediate standings at the Bahrain World Championship.
The World Championships have started in Bahrain with today’s Free Practice and Qualifying sessions, held in the evening local time to avoid the fierce heat.
The World Championships have been run in many forms over the years but the most successful seems to be a one-off race at the end of the year. At present we have World Championships for OK and OK-Junior (in Bahrain in 2016) and KZ (Sweden in 2016)....
This years FKS Junior 1st and 2nd place drivers will receive a fully funded drive in the CIK World Championships in Bahrain later this year in the OK Junior category with a factory team. The event is due to take place on the 19th November 2016 at...
