Despite a collision during one of the heats (owing to which he also lost the advantage of his formidable pole position), Nyck De Vries managed to turn the situation to his advantage. Starting in 16th position, he reached 5th position in the pre-final, before climbing on the second step of the podium.

Although we saw a slight relative decrease in speed last month from the Intrepid France driver, his performance at Lonato reset the clock. With speed and intelligence, there was no challenge for Brandon in KF3, from the heats to the final.

May 11, 2008 Kozlinski wins at Lonato

Arnaud Kozlinski (FR, CRG/Maxter) won an eventful KF1 final from Michael Ryall (GB, Birel/TM) after a seven-lap "safety car" period after a crash involving Alessandro Bressan (IT, Kosmic/Vortex) and Jason Parrott (GB, Birel/Parilla).

May 11, 2008 Stevens to start on pole at Lonato

The start of the third and last qualifying heat for KF1 was under a heavy grey sky, but the temperature was relatively high. Armand Convers kept his lead while Antonio Piccioni overtook Wil; Stevens on the first lap. Davide Fore edged into fourth position ahead of Michael Ryall and Jack Te Braak.

May 10, 2008 Wins for Stevens and Thonon in KF1 at Lonato

After Saturday's action at Lonato, Will Stevens and Jonathan Thonon have won a heat each while Catt has been coming through after problems in Qualifying. Super Pole winner Armand Convers was a close second to Stevens.

May 9, 2008 WSK Eurocup (team championship)

The third WSK round is under way at the International South Garda Circuit The usual free practice session gave the start to the mid-season’s weekend. After these races we will have a better view of the classifications and about the position of the favourite drivers. But this year the teams too are in the running: every registered team nominate two drivers, to score points in the 2008 Eurocup classification.

May 8, 2008 Harvey gears up for hectic global race schedule

European kart racing champion, Jack Harvey, heads out to Lonato, Italy next weekend, for the start of a busy period of the season. The second round of the KF2 class of the Winning Series of Karting will be his first port of call, before he takes in the UK and Japan during May.
