Colin Wright steps down July 20, 2017
Colin said on Facebook:
“After 15 years plus with FEKC I have decided to step down, please direct anything you would of to me now through to the wider Committee.
“It’s been a rollercoaster from early days in 2004 cutting down trees, dealing with a sometimes difficult MOD, raising finances to lay track to get MSA approval with 3 days before the first meeting in April 2004, getting 177’s re-established as National Class, World Final tickets etc…… Then came O plates, world qualifiers and biggest race in over a decade with 296 for the Help for Heroes which all culminating in the club being second biggest in the UK behind the powerhouse that is PFi.
“It’s been great fun, damn hard work, the club has some of the best marshals and support staff of any UK club so value them, and to hear Darrin Worth on the mike is a pure joy 😉
“It’s been great fun and look forward to seeing the club progress, look forward to the 177 O Plate and you will have some of the best karting trophies ever for that event! (pics soon)!”
