France sticks with Rotax for junior classes September 8, 2017
In France they have classes where the engine goes out for tender at regular intervals, as with the UK Cadet class. The Minime class, the equivalent to our Cadet, will switch to the IAME Gazelle as used here, but their Cadet class, a rough equivalent to our Minimax, will stay with the Minimax engine. Their National class, which starts at age 13 but is open to Seniors too, will continue to use the Junior Max engine. Finally, there will be a new Senior class (alongside the X30, Rotax, OK and KZ classes) which will use the X30 Senior engine.
